Sometimes, all we need in our lives is just a simple drama about a man and woman falling in love and honestly, at least what I’ve seen so far, Nami Uraraka ni, Meoto Biyori seems to be fulfilling that for me.
It’s a story of Sekiya Natsumi (Yoshine Kyoko) and her arranged marriage to navy sub-lieutenant Ebata Takimasa (Honda Kyoya) in the Showa Era. The drama places us in 1936. From the premise, it seems like a simple story of two inexperienced youths get married without knowing anything about each other, or even about romance, and growing together. It’s a simple enough description and the first episode takes us head first into their married life and all of the learning curves that come with it.
