I honestly think that there’s just something about this drama that captivates me. Now, I’ll be honest and say that I completely binge-watched this drama. I believe I finished all 30 30-minute episodes within like 2 days or something, that’s the way Netflix has separated the episodes which may be different from the actual way it was broadcasted and released. Anyway, it was only after I finished this drama, which was actually just yesterday, that I began to think about wanting to write about it. There wasn’t much I could find on the Internet about it and actually, most of the actors and actresses in here are relatively new, I believe. And so, with the fuzzy and tingly feeling inside of me, I decided to come back and re-watch the entire series once more to write about it.
So, in case no one exactly knows what this drama is, it is categorized as a Chinese youth web drama. It stars Guo Junchen, also known as Guo Fiction as the Internet has told me, as Situ Feng, a popular idol who crosses paths with Chen Qingqing, played by Sun Yining, who is a wealthy heiress who decides to run away and completely transform herself. They end up crossing paths and have a series of mishaps befall them along the way and as you can probably tell from the title, they also end up falling in love though let me say that the road is long and hard, not that that is probably much of a surprise.
But there are the heart-warming friendships included and a story that may seem unrealistic at times but will surely keep you engaged in some way. Whether you come because it seems interesting or stay because you become attached to the OSTs and to their story, it’s a drama that, I feel, has a sweetness and irresistible charm.
The first episode very briefly introduces our characters, 30 minutes is short, as we start seeing the beginnings of the set-up that brought them together. We still don’t have much information, though, about either of our characters but we gain a little knowledge about the worlds that they grew up in.
